I picked up a One Piece Treasure Box from Target for $19.99. I instantly regretted not getting more!!
One Piece is probably one of my favorite animes of all time, and there’s a reason why it is still ongoing despite the anime itself being over 25 years old. Which is why its trading and collecting card game has started garnering some greater support over the last year. Unfortunately what is holding the card game back from really taking off is the really bad pull rates. Getting hit or rare cards from their sets are really bad, and unless you get fan favorites such as the main straw hat crew even the rare cards aren’t worth much. But despite that I still thought it would be fun to open so grabbed a couple for today.
Interesting Cards
Like I had stated previously the pull rates for One Piece isn’t great especially for the booster box. The only interesting cards in the box was this hollow Ulti, which isn’t worth much, and the Promo Luffy. Unfortunately, on some closer inspection the promo had some scuffing on the top right which kind of sucks, but these things do often happen in the trading card scene. I’ve had this happen so many times, and although it sucks there’s not really anything that could be done about it. It was still a fun opening though especially getting to see some of the characters I know from the series.
